Maexxna was the third boss on our list tonight. After a couple wipes into the enrage we finally managed to take her down. Congrats to everyone that got the nice loot, we're moving on to Patchwerk.

It was a long night for The Varangian Guard but after a few hours of attempts we successfully downed Grand Widow Faerlina!! A big "thank you" to everyone that stuck it out until the end. We enjoy the dedication and enthusiasm shown by all of the members of TVG. Keep it up guys!! Maexxna is next on the list.

| So there hasn't been a news update in awhile and I wanted to let everyone know that we defeated Nefarian last Saturday. The past 3 months have had their ups and downs, but in the end we're still the same guild everyone has come to know and love. |

A few changes today to the forums thanks to Relth, mainly a more structure members section. For a list of changes or for access if you don't already have it, visit the members section of the forum.
On another note, we have recently aquired a large number of new members thanks to our recruitment forums. While this has been successful the decision has been made to close general applications for the moment. This will not affect anyone with an application currently outstanding. |

Congratulations to Alais, our 60 warlock, who has received 8/8 of his tier 1 epic set items. We believe him to be the first warlock on the server who has done this.

| News: 9th June 2005 -- Relth completes epic staff quest |
| Everyone congratulate Relth on his epic staff quest. After grinding elite demons in Winterspring for 14 hours in search of the Eye of Shadow, Relth decided it would be easier to just lead a raid on Kazzak. After successfully taking him down Relth received the last piece to his quest. In the future, VGuard members need to stand at least 10 feet away from Relth at all times. The Benediction staff is considered a class 2 fire hazard and can leave a nasty burn. ;) |

As many of you already know, the Molten Core raid that the VGuard took part in last night was successful in bringing down Domo.
We then made our way to the lair of Ragnaros, spawned him and succeeded to get him down to as low as 85%. Mudavo posted some killer screenshots of that attempt on the forums, check them out here. |

| News: 28th April 2005 -- Guild Meeting |
There is a guild meeting on Sunday, May 1st at 3:00 PM EST on the guild teamspeak server. There are quite a few items to address including some very exciting news.
We will be running UBRS as well as another, yet to be determined, lower level instance after the meeting. For those of you who wish to be involved, showing up to the meeting would be a stellar way to claim your spot.
